The Golden Bond

The Golden Bond is a fanfic work written in the worlds created by Mary Renault. It is a cross-over between Mary Renault’s Mask of Apollo and her Alexander Trilogy, originally written for fawatson in the Renault Exchange Challenge 2015.
Niko the Athenian actor has a moment’s pity for an orphaned and destitute girl. Both are in ignorance of the thread the Fates are weaving for them.

The original central cover image is based upon a photograph of the Greek bronze ‘Chatsworth Head’ of (probably) Apollo by an unknown artist ca. 460 BC, the photograph is by Marie-Lan Nguyen. The fonts used in this book are from the Source Serif Pro font family by Frank Grießhammer.
The images and fonts were used under license detailed on their respective website pages at the date of this book publication.
As usual, Russ from shoes for industry designed the book cover, produced the books and compiled the on-line work.
